COOKIE-THEMED CRAFT AND PLAY

Jumping pup cups and paper roll dogs have kept my son and I busy for days (and have of course evolved into jumping shark cups, jumping elephant cups, launching rocket cups etc etc). We collected wattle and leaves and set up Cookie's rural farm using a tray with playdough and plastic animals. I've also included my recipes for the cookies and dog biscuits I made for my book launch, you should definitely try the cookies!

WHERE THE HEART IS-THEMED CRAFT AND PLAY

These easy to set up crafts and themed play ideas were such a hit with my 3 year old. What toddler or pre-schooler doesn't love water play and playdough? And my little one has such a fixation on paper rolls, it was nice to use some on things other than binoculars and telescopes! These little finger puppets have been used endlessly in rescue missions and penguin watching expeditions (with a laundry basket ship with toilet paper roll binoculars!) These activities also provide an excellent opportunity to discuss vulnerable species and environmental concerns.
